Save the Date: 3rd Annual Gables Bike Day

Save the Date for the 3rd annual Gables Bike Day, Sunday October 20, 2013 from 11am – 6pm.

Gables Bike Day is a family, cyclist, skater, pedestrian friendly event aimed at promoting healthy activities in Downtown Coral Gables. All proceeds will benefit Bike Walk Coral Gables, a non profit organization promoting transit use, bicycling, running and walking for daily transportation, leisure and fitness.

Activities include:

  • Children’s play areas featuring bounce houses, climbing wall, face painting, tattoos, clown, etc.
  • Nonprofit and educational booths providing cycling information, materials, helmets and lights at Community Zone
  • Hourly bike tours (historic, landmark, open house, etc.) of Coral Gables conducted by our knowledgeable staff
  • Free bike valet stations set up at two convenient locations on the event route
  • Food vendors from local participating restaurants with daily specials and outdoor seating
  • Bike Polo exhibition games by Miami Bike Polo
  • VIP tent with food and beverages and special giveaways for sponsors, invited guests and celebrities
  • Two live bands at the stage on the west side of Miracle Mile
  • Bike Showcase with product display’s, free bikes to borrow and bike mechanics

 

The streets of Miracle Mill will be closed to auto traffic.

The sale price per sqft also decreased slightly compared to the previous month, however the average sales price increased. Hyatt Hotel Coming to Miami Beach

MIAMIBEACH HYATT

A new Hyatt hotel is coming to Miami beach. The hotel will feature 100 rooms. It will be located 1600 Collins Avenue across from the Loews. The city’s Historic Preservation Board signed off on the plan to tear down the rear of the  Tropical Gardens apartment building.

The  10-story hotel will be designed by architect Kobi Karp and construction is expected to begin soon.

EWM is #1 in Total Sales of Million Dollar-Plus Residences in Miami-Dade County

As the resurgence of South Florida’s high-end residential real estate market continues, EWM Realty International continues as Miami-Dade County’s number one brokerage in the sale of million-dollar plus properties for the 12-month period ending August 30, 2013, according to data from the Southeast Florida Regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

During the month of August, EWM reported 41 transactions in excess of one million dollars, compared to 31 transactions for the second-highest ranked brokerage and 18 transactions for the third ranked.

Year-on-year numbers, September 2012 through August 2013, EWM was number one with a total of 429 transactions in excess of one million dollars, compared to 336 and 283, respectively, for the second- and third- ranked brokerages.
