You Got the Contract! Now What?

It used be that having a contract was a secure thing, but in today’s market it’s only the first step. Many first time home buyers and for-sale-by-owners think getting that contract is a sure fire guarantee. This couldn’t be further from the truth – there are still hurdles to overcome before you get to closing. Getting your contract to go through is only the first step in the buying process. Next are inspections, appraisal and negotiation. And when it comes to financing, homes are not always appraising and technical issues can arise during inspection. It’s easy to get confused and feel lost if you don’t know what you’re doing. That’s why it’s important to have an experienced realtor on your side with seasoned negotiation tactics to get the deal through.
