The Village of Pinecrest has been named a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation by planting over 10,000 street trees since 1997, creating scenic paths that are a delight through which to jog, bike or stroll. Also, with consistently “A” rated public elementary schools and an average lot square footage of 4,465, Pinecrest has quantity and quality of life. Ranch style houses are the most popular but there is a wide range architectural styles of homes in Pinecrest to appeal to all tastes.
Bordering Pinecrest is Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, so beautiful it attracts visitors from across the world. The garden includes many collections and displays such as the tropical flower garden, spiny forest of Madagascar, rainforest, and the butterfly garden.
Pinecrest Gardens is another notable park. Hosting such large horticultural attractions sets Pinecrest apart from other Miami suburbs. Pinecrest Gardens holds many concerts, movie showings, and festivals in addition to some of the most highly-reviewed summer camps in Florida. Shopping in Pinecrest is easy and fun. The conveniently located Suniland Shopping Center features convenience stores and restaurants. Further south on US-1, The Falls is one of the largest open-air shopping, dining and entertainment complexes in the US with popular stores such as BCBGMAXARIA, Williams Sonoma, Express, and restaurants including a P.F. Chang’s.
