Coconut Grove is a waterfront community nestled between Biscayne Bay and US1 with a serene village feel. Home to 16 parks and teeming with lush tropical foliage, the Grove is best known for its natural feel and eclectic neighborhoods.

Coconut Grove was formed in 1925 and is referred to most people as “The Grove.” Its windy streets and canopy of trees make it very beautiful and charming.

The Grove is best known for its good eats. More than a dozen delicious cuisines are represented in the Grove, usually with charming outdoor seating and open air cafes. One can eat many different types of  food within close proximity to each other. Local favorites include Greenstreet, Calamari, Jaguar, George’s, Le Bouchan, Monty’s Raw Bar and Scotty’s Landing.

The city is an ideal location and hosts numerous annual festivals from the culturally stimulating, such as the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, to the downright silly King Mango Strut or the Great Grove Bed Race complete with street performers and other delights to keep everyone stimulated.

The night life is also quite active and frequented by young professionals and students from Florida International University and the University of Miami. Their favorite places include Barracuda Bar, Mr. Moe’s, Hooter’s and Fat Tuesday.

With lots of shopping from little boutiques and open air malls there is plenty to do, not to mention the movies.

It has a huge boating community along Biscayne Bay with Dinner Key Marina, The Coconut Grove Sailing Club and private yacht clubs such as Coral Reef and Biscayne Bay. There is something here for everyone.

There is also a path that runs along the bay so that everyone can enjoy the water and all it has to offer. Peacock is a great place to wander, as well as Kennedy Park where you can even bring your dog. There is also The Barnacle and Vizcaya, popular Miami tourist destinations.
