How will the election affect the real estate market?

October 27th, 2016 Written By Carol Pawley

With the November election around the corner, politics seem to be the hot topic of discussion everywhere. I did a little research looking into how this election could affect the housing market, my favorite topic!! Many people believe that the election will have a negative impact on the market, no matter which candidate wins, yet a Forbes article on the topic says, “while homeowner anxiety over the election is clearly mounting, the likelihood of an immediate shock to the market is slim”. Whoever wins is lucky enough to inherit a stronger real estate market than we had four years ago, and it will take a considerable amount of time for the policies the new president implements to have a noticeable effect. Either way, go out and vote!
