South Miami Rotary Art Festival

The Rotary Club of South Miami proudly presents its 30th annual festival Saturday and Sunday, February 23-24, 2013. The South Miami Rotary Art Festival takes place in the vibrant downtown area of South Miami on Sunset Drive (SW 72nd Street) from US 1 to Red Road (SW 57th Avenue) adjacent to The Shops at Sunset Place. The area is filled with historic buildings, restaurants and unique shops. There is free admission for patrons with ample nearby parking on-street and in garages. The festival features 148 outstanding artists, a fine expanded food court and beer garden, a Children’s Alley, and mellow music.

It’s that time of year again when love is in the air. I’m talking about Valentines Day. I wanted to share a list of  places to go and have a romantic dinner on Valentines Day.

660 At The Angler’s
Offers a three-course menu featuring grilled octopus ceviche, heirloom tomato salad, pork filet and Angus NY steak. $125 per couple.

III Forks
Presents a sweetheart menu combining a III Forks salad, broiled tenderloin, truffled mashed potatoes and a chocolate lovers’ dessert. $140 per couple. A la carte wine and champagne specials also available.

Angelique Euro Café
Presents a four-course dinner menu Feb. 14-16 featuring a glass of sparkling wine, Gruyere gourges, escargo a la Provencal, filet mignon and lobster gnocchi. $49 per person. The restaurant will also be offering brunch Feb 16-17 featuring Parisian Omelets, Rioja steak-n-huevos and moules meuniere.

The Epic Hotel is also offering a Wine & Dine package featuring a private cabana, three-course dinner and bottle of wine ($150 per person).
