Solar Panels Increase Property Value

Solar Energy

Homes with solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems are sold at a premium compared to homes without PV systems.

A study released and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory found that homes with host-owned solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems are sold at a premium compared to homes without PV systems. The lead author of the study is Sandra K. Adomatis of the Appraisal Institute, the nation’s largest professional association of real estate appraisers. Just discovered these four house cleaning secrets!

April 17th, 2015 Written By Carol Pawley

house tips

Here are four housecleaning  tips I just discovered:

Banish Dust – Keep the humidity in your home well balanced. Too much humidity is ideal for dust mites, while low humidity causes static electricity that attracts dust. The goal is to keep your home’s humidity level between  40 and 50 percent.

Glass Shower Doors and walls –  After thoroughly cleaning glass shower doors and walls, coat them with a rain-repellant product made for car windshields. It forms an invisible barrier that causes water, oils and soap suds to roll off.

Upholstery and Carpet –  Apply protective furniture sprays and carpet sealant after a deep clean of upholstery and/or carpet, to guard against inevitable spills.

Stone Counter Tops – Repel stains by using a good countertop sealer twice a year. Spills on well-sealed granite and marble will bead instead of getting absorbed.

Enjoy our beautiful weather this weekend!
