Tour of the Gables 5k 2013

On Saturday May 25, 2013 the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce will host the 18th annual Baptist Health Tour of the Gables 5k. The race will start at 7:30 a.m. at Merrick Park and will take runners on a scenic tour of Coral Gables.

Medals will be awarded to the top three racers in each age group. There will be complimentary parking available at the Andalusia Parking Garage, west of LeJeune Road. The cost for participating is $30 for pre-registration and $35 on the day of the event for adults; and $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the event for runners under 18 years of age. 49 homes sold last month in Coral Gables, a decrease from the previous month. However the average sale price per sqft increased from $310 to $364. Here are some statistics and a list of what sold in Coral Gables for the month of April 2013.

Lack of Inventory in Coral Gables

Yesterday I spent the whole day showing homes in the Gables to a family from out of town. My buyer’s were quite surprised with the lack of of homes that were available. I sat with them and showed them on the MLS how fast homes in there price range (under $500,000) were selling. It blew their mind that houses were selling in 1 day of being on the market. 

Since January the inventory in Coral Gables seems to be declining. March saw a slight increase of homes available compared to February.
