According to Nick Passmore, renowned wine and spirits writer, the luxe blended scotches on this list are absolutely  fabulous…Judging form the prices, they better be!

Royal Salute Tribute to Honour $250,000

John Walker Odyssey $1,100

John Walker Private Collection 2015 Edition $815

Royal Salute 38 Year Old, Stone of Destiny $650

John Walker King George V $600

Ballantines 30 Year Old $400

Chivas Regal 25 Year Old $300

Cutty Sark, The Tam O’Shanter $300

Royal Salute 25 Year Old $300

Johnnie Walker Blue Label $225

How can these blended scotches be so expensive? According to the experts it usually comes down to supply and demand.  In the case of Royal Salute Tribute to Honour,  only a limited number of the exquisite jewel-encrusted bottles were released, 21 to be exact. Obviously, the extravagant price has more to do with the bottle than its contents.

…If you are more inclined to be interested in the contents than the bottle,  you may want to add a couple of the less pricey options to your home bar wish list.  Your scotch connoisseur friends will love you.

Cheers!
